Diana Prince, also known as Wonder Woman, is an Amazonian princess and demigoddess within the DC Extended Universe (DCEU). She is the daughter of Queen Hippolyta and Zeus, king of the Olympian gods, although she was initially told a different story.

Born on the hidden island of Themyscira, home to the Amazon warriors, Diana was trained as a formidable fighter. She remained secluded from the outside world until World War I, when American pilot Steve Trevor crashed near the island. He shared knowledge of the war raging across the globe.

Believing Ares, the god of war, to be responsible for the conflict and humanity's inherent evil, Diana left Themyscira with Steve to end the war, hoping to kill Ares and restore peace. She discovered her divine powers during this time, including superhuman strength, speed, and agility. Her mission and beliefs would evolve and shift as she dealt with the world.

After Steve's sacrifice, Diana operated in secret for decades. She emerged publicly during the events of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, joining forces with Batman and Superman to battle Doomsday. She continued her role as a protector of humanity in subsequent DCEU films, notably Wonder Woman 1984.
